Gaston portait un traceur. Le dernier signal de mouvement a été enregistré à 180 mètres de son domicile, situé Eikendreef 7 à Westmalle. Trois minutes plus tard, nous (ses maîtres) étions sur place. Le traceur se trouvait au milieu de la grande route. Cependant, aucune trace de Gaston. Nous ne l’avons pas retrouvé dans les jours qui ont suivi, malgré des recherches très intensives. Nous soupçonnons un vol. Nous avons appris récemment que des animaux sont régulièrement volés dans notre région et revendus en France.
