My cat slipped out through our main gate around 7:30 PM. He is an indoor-only, neutered cat and usually only stays inside our house or garden, so he likely wandered off and got disoriented.
A few people later mentioned seeing a friendly white cat a few lanes away the same night, which makes me believe he may have approached people or entered a nearby home for shelter.
