My condolences to whomever owned this lovely cat.

My husband found a deceased ginger and white striped cat on the road on the way home from work last night on his motorbike. He couldn't bring it home to take to vet for hopeful ID as he was on the bike, I am heading out to try and find and collect this fur baby now. He moved the poor thing off the road. I will have more identifying details shortly. We do rescue and will scan for chip in morn.

My sincerest condolences to whoever this baby belonged to, we believe we know what car hit it that was passed on the road shortly prior to finding Puss, as it was very recent the hit occured.

This lovely boy has been wrapped up, and returned to his devastated owner who arrived as we did to collect him.

This beautiful ginger boy is now back with his family, and will be laid to rest where he is loved and cared for, no matter the cruel manner in which a despicable human being chose to end his life, either that, or by mistake and didn't even care to stop.

He was loved and cherished, and whoever did this, I hope they feel the weight of knowing young grandchildren were waiting on this cat to come home, because they adored him, and this guy didn't even stop.
What goes around comes around.
Think of the kids that adore these cats and feel bonded to them before you decide to selfishly take the life, or if it was accidental, think of those kids before you just keep driving and don't leave the family wondering. It doesn't cost you anything to be decent. I wonder how much it costs your soul to be that cruel, though.

This needs to change.
