Elliot was lost from our yard on May 29th, 2025. He has experience as an indoor-outdoor cat but had spent the previous four months inside-only due to a temporary change in housing. Upon returning home, we started trying to readjust Elliot to being outdoors again, and while I tried to supervise every time he was let out, he was commonly let out without supervision while I was not home or still asleep in the mornings. One morning, roughly a week following the start of his reintroduction, he was let out with our other cats, and by the time I woke up and went outside to find him in the late morning, he had already disappeared.
